Why Rules?
- Code less. Configure more.
- Do less boring stuff. Automate more.
- Get rid of custom mini-modules.
- Reuse Drupal action functions from other modules.
- Configuring becomes documentation.
Attached is my presentation from DrupalCamp Copenhagen, along with two features that keeps the settings for (1) the demo site setup and (2) all the rules configured and ready.
Note that Rules and Features in combination can create duplicate rules. Sorry about that – I hope the example can still be useful to study.
