Writing articles without publishing them

You know the news story we’ve been working for a few days? (Feel free to copy from lipsum.com.) I know it’s finished, but I’d like to think a bit more before we publish it. I called the web consultants, and they say that we can actually put it on our website, but make it so that visitors can’t see the article. Can you do this? I might get back to you during the weekend with some more changes to the article. Thanks.
